| After a
20-year career in the plastics industry dedicated to high
volume production tooling and molding and assembly and
ending in research and development of highly electrically
conductive resins that were soon patented, Tom
Talbot started a local and global sourcing and
technical marketing company called Global Business Solutions
International Inc.
In the year 2000, GBSIntl
was formed and immediately landed its first major consulting
project from Teleflex-Morse involving state-of-the-art
electronic arc detection devices. In 2001, GBSIntl led
an R&D program to build a working electric fuel
cell using a patented high temperature polymer membrane
In 2002, GBSIntl began work in the field
of electro-mechanical military simulation, training
devices and prototypes with Lockheed Martin. Military
contracts for design, build, prototype- mockups and
assembly work continue with Harris, BAE, Raytheon, and
L3. In 2003, military customer needs were met in specialized
areas of phones, switching systems, cable assemblies,
low cost wire harnesses, and low cost electronic contract
manufacturing.
In the first quarter of 2004 Far
East Product Solutions, with offices in the
UK and Taiwan, globally partnered with Global
Business Solutions International in the United
States. In 2005 GBSIntl became the North and South American
consulting arm for Far East Product Solutions.
